I'm a retired engineer, married, with a daughter at university. I got in to hill walking and scrambling at University (UMIST) with the hiking club there and climbing soon after leaving.

I've don't have the nerve or physical ability to ever be a good climber but I enjoy being out in the mountains bumbliing about on the easier stuff.
