The Corbie is also as environmentally friendly as ropes get. It is manufactured under the bluesign® system allowing for the following savings to be made: a 62%
reduction in CO2 emissions, an 89% reduction in water
usage, 63% less energy consumption and 63% less
chemical usage.
Due to its incredible diameter we recommend using the Corbie with our Jul family of belay devices when belaying and abseiling. To ensure the device fully locks we suggest belaying with the Mega Jul when using the Corbie as a half or twin rope, and the Micro Jul when using the Corbie as a single rope.
That’s why we’re giving away two pairs of 60m Corbie ropes, each with a Mega Jul and Micro Jul belay device – valued at £440 per set.
