Mentioned in the Gable & Pillar Guide (2007) as a very steep east-facing wall, 25 metres in height with only a single VS recorded, the crag ‘lies on the on the south side of the river Liza and may be recognized as the lowest crag above the forestry fence on this side of the valley’. For Ennerdale it is "accessible", especially if travelling by bike or staying at either of the Youth Hostels and its aspect means that it catches a large amount of morning sun.
The rock and the lines are of high quality: a plumb vertical wall of fabulously compact (and at times sharp!) rock.
