A great sport climbing crag perched high above the Megalong Valley. Logan Brae will get anyone fit, it is the closest thing resembling an indoor gym in the Blueys.
The crag faces east and so sees little sun in winter but is a great place for a hot summer afternoon when you have no skin left on your tips. Because of its aspect it is a haven providing shelter from strong westerly winds.
Park at the second power pole on the left past the Shipley Fire Hut and up the hill. The new parking area is 40m before Cliffview and a few hundred metres before Berridale Orchids.
The cliff is located on Private Property and the new owners are willing to keep the access open to climbers provided we respect the area and take full responsibilty for our actions. No dogs, no camping, no rubbish.
After the land owners encountered a couple of rude and inconsiderate climbers, we all nearly lost access to this area. Fortunately, a solution has been found. Be sure to use the new parking and approach from the 'Blue Mountains Climbing' 2015 edition. The old approach down the driveway and fire trail at Berridale Orchids must not be used under any circumstances.
