Rocktype Sandstone (soft)
Altitude 74m a.s.l
Faces S
This outcrop lies just north of Lampool Farm, close to where two footpaths meet at a fork. It is split into two sections. The northern section runs east to west, is about 4 meters high and very overgrown. It has a large dry cave at its base. The southern section runs north to south, is slightly higher and less vegetated. The prominant boulder is on the southern section.
The sandstone is very soft so as always the southern sandstone code of practice should be applied.
Park down the road by a triangular section of road/grass. Walk north up the road and turn left down a public footpath which leads down hill (under a big fallen tree) to where the rocks are.
