A fantastic small 5-15m canyon towering over the vineyards and the River Neckar. This limestone crag has been used for over a hundred years by climbers. Due to this fact and the high popularity in the area, the small ledges are often very, very polished. Even top climbers have had some nasty surprises. This challenge and the wonderful landscape make the charm of this place.
Decently protected routes with good bolts, although sometimes the first bolt is quite high up. Boldness or some cams and nuts are required.
Turn off the K1620 to the farms, Im Fetzer. After the houses there is an official carpark for the Bergwacht (mountain rescue). From there follow the signs through the vineyards to the crag.
Approach time: 10 mins
The canyon is a nature reserve. Climbing is tolerated only on existing routes. Please use chalk sparingly.
One part of the canyon is closed due to the danger of falling rock. Please pay attention as access agreements are sensitive.
