A huge intimidating cliff that thrusts forward as a massive jutting bastion, dropping straight to the river 200m below. There is a variety of climbing on the different faces.
Belvédère du Maugué is currently un-signed. It is the first double Belvédère and is situated 4.8 km from La Palud in the direction of Chalet Maline.
For the Arcanson abseils, from the parking descend the rocky crest in the direction of a distinctive pine tree. Pick up a line of cairns that head sharply back right before descending west to the rappel anchors that lead down L'Arcanson.
