A long 20-50m high chossy cliff band, which readily forms a number of mixed and ice lines most winters. The entire cliff faces pretty much due north so gets no sun, meaning that the ice can last a long time once formed. There are more lines of ice in the area which are not recorded climbs, plus potential for more mixed/dry tooling lines.
From the centre of Megeve, follow the signs to Rochebrune, and keep on going beyond the ski base station right to the end of the road (several miles beyond). Park in the fairly large car park and continue on foot/skis along the forest road/cat track, passing the la Tete alpage until you reach the Chavanne alpage (1-1.5h). the ice falls are right in front of you from here.
