Well situated, overlooking the Llyn Cowlyd resovoir , this small crag offers good climbing on clean rock.
On the left of the crag is a small buttress ( Banana Buttress ) . Small and steep but has good holds and a distinct character of its own. A wide overhanging crack is a prominent feature near the center.
The right side of Banana Buttress tails off into a broken area. Right of this,a hanging corner, the line of Witch Hunt, marks the start of the Central Wall, which extends rightwards to a vegetated ledge at half height, home to one or two Rowan trees on this part of the crag.
To the right of Central Wall, the final section of cliff features a distinctive section of orange rock. This is Hamster Buttress.
Walk in by the Cwm Cowlyd track, which leaves the A5 at 719 589. There is space to park one car 100m from the stile at the roadside, otherwise the nearest parking is in Chapel Curig. From the bridge at the confluence of the leats at 716 609, continue northwards into the Cwm for about 500m until the crag is seen on the left.
