The main slab can be clearly seen across Loch Dubh from the carpark, with a huge grassy groove bounding the left side. The base is in trees. The rock is solid gneiss but is rather dirty and can suffer from seepage.
From the achmelvich road take the smaller road signposted for footpath to Baddidarroch across a wooden bridge across loch Roe to park before the turning point. The bottom of the crag can be reached in 15 minutes rough walking round the north of Loch Dubh, alternatively follow the footpath to break out across moorland to the top of the crag in 25 minutes.
